Information Assurance

As society becomes increasingly reliant on electronic information, and as the number of security incidents steadily climb, the demand for a new breed of information technology professionals keeps growing.

The bachelor of science in information assurance is designed to meet current and anticipated needs for highly trained information assurance professionals. As a BSIA student, you will have the chance to build on the foundations of computer science and information technology, and develop a mastery of information assurance and security concepts, tactics and strategies.

The first two courses of the BSIA concentration prepare you for the CompTIA Security+ examination, giving you the chance for desired credentials even before you graduate. The combination of all five courses map to the seven domains of the Systems Security Certified Professional (SSCP) certification.

With the BSIA, the CompTIA Security+ certification and the SSCP certification, you will have the proof that you possess the professional knowledge required for a successful career in the information assurance field. Capitol College asserts that when you graduate, this combination will provide you with a strong professional resume and the opportunity to a rewarding and challenging career.
