The McGowan Center for Innovative Teaching is Capitol College's premier computer classroom. This facility is frequently used for multimedia presentations, workshops and guest lectures.
New students are introduced to the McGowan Center and instructed in its use during the first month of classes. The room is equipped with 15 student stations and one instructor station, all of which have removable hard drives permitting custom configurations for any class. The instructor station is also connected to a Proxima projector and external speakers with a subwoofer for the display of multimedia presentations. Instructors may bring in their own laptop to connect to the projector as well.
All the computers are networked together to one hub allowing students to browse the network they have built, or they can be connected to Capitol College's main network to browse the Internet.
