We expect that Computer Services users will show maturity and good judgment when using the computers. Use of Computer Services must be within the boundaries of the following guidelines:
Erotic or Offensive Material
It is inappropriate to display erotic or offensive material in a public setting, such as the computer lab or library.
Email
Registered students have lifetime email accounts provided by the college. Your email address will be assigned to you when you enroll at the college. Please contact the registration and records office if you need assistance.
Users who want to scan material in the computer lab must have enough diskettes to save the file. Only the lab aide on duty may operate the scanner.
Loading Software
If you need a specific program loaded on a computer, ask the facility aide for assistance. Do not load software or other files on college computers. The facility aide will ask the facility supervisor for permission to load the requested software.
Copying Software
Before copying any software from a college computer, check with the facility aide on duty. There are Internet sites, such as www.tucows.com that have shareware and freeware software you may download to your diskettes.
Supplies and Printing
You are expected to provide your own class materials, folders, binders, report covers, diskettes and diskette labels.
