Capitol College holds commencement in May on its Laurel campus. Transcripts always reflect the exact semester your degree program is completed, but the date of degree conferred on transcripts and diplomas is the month and year of the ceremony.
For undergraduate students:
To be recommended by faculty for award of degrees, you must have satisfactorily completed the curriculum requirements for your degree program with an overall cumulative GPA and degree program cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, and you must have satisfied the Capitol College residency requirements.
You must file an application for graduation in the Office of Registration and Records no later than one semester before your anticipated completion. After you file an application, your files are reviewed and forwarded to the vice president for academic affairs for final approval. You will be notified of approval and your status. Applications for graduation are available in the Office of Registration and Records. The graduation fee, due by April 15, cannot be waived.
You will be considered a degree candidate only when the above procedures are complete. If you change your plans for graduation, notify the Office of Registration and Records in writing.
