When a course is audited, students pay tuition for the course and can attend and participate. However, they do not receive credit or a grade.
If you're considering auditing a course, talk to your advisor first. You can review your tracking sheet and the impact of a course audit on your academic plan and expected graduation date. You should also meet with the course instructor and determine if any outstanding issues can be resolved.
If you still opt to audit, notate your decision on a registration form or within the drop/add form, which can be done online or in print (obtained from the Office of Registration and Records). We recommend you review your schedule with your advisor.
Refer to the Academic Calendar for the last day to change a course to audit.
