Dean of Students Office

Services offered:

Advising
Advising is available by appointment, or you can just walk in. To discuss a crisis or any academic or personal problem with a trained college advisor, come to Room B229.

Disabled Students
The dean of students serves as coordinator for disabled student services. The coordinator's responsibility is to help students with special needs gain equal access to college services and programs. Contact our office if you have been diagnosed with a physical or learning disability and require academic or counseling support services. Students requesting accomodations must do so 30 days prior to the start of class. Appropriate documentation will be required.

Health Information
Students can contact the office for health-related concerns or issues. We offer:

  • information on student health insurance programs and applications
  • trained advisors who discuss health-related problems and recommend appropriate referrals
  • health awareness presentations and information

Off-Campus Housing Referral
See the office of residence life for help in finding off-campus housing. We offer apartment and room listings, apartment-shoppers guides and information about the local area.

Locker Rental
Locker rentals in MCI Hall are $5 for a semester. See the office of residential life in Room C261.

Student Handbook

Residence Life
On-campus residence life is supervised by the office of residence life. Residence life offers:

  • on-campus housing information
  • housing policies
  • on-campus housing application

To discuss an on-campus housing problem, contact the office of residence life.

Student Advocacy
The dean of students office can help you voice your concerns, suggestions or criticisms to the college faculty and administration. We can offer advice and support on matters important to you.

Student Judicial System
The judicial system is administered by the dean of students office. Familiarize yourself with its policies and procedures.

Identification Cards
Students need current ID cards to use lab equipment and to borrow library resources. ID cards are made in the computer lab, Room C143. There is a charge for the replacement of stolen or lost cards.

Student activities are a part of your college life. Get involved. Have fun!
