1937 - 1950

In 1927, Capitol Radio Engineering Institute was founded as a correspondence school teaching vacuum-tube theory. Five years later, CREI opened a residence school in Washington, DC. CREI became one of the first three technical institutes in the country accredited by the Engineers' Council for Professional Development in 1946.
