Student Comments

Feedback from CISSP class participants has been very positive. All three of the following individuals successfully took the CISSP examination after completing CISSP Exam Preparation Class at Capitol College and are now certified CISSP.

Dr. Loyce Best Pailen, Director, Center for Support of Instruction, University of Maryland University College, wrote:
“The CISSP preparation course offered by Capitol College earns an A in my opinion. In preparation for the exam, the 5 weeks of study was a way to get ‘centered’ and served as a way to put the 10 CBK domains into perspective. The quality of the teaching and technology was very good. The Capitol College CISSP preparation course provides a solid framework from which the student can chart an overall plan of study. The CISSP experiences in the online preparation course, readings, refreshing of test taking skills, and taking the actual exam have been rewarding experiences for enhancing my teaching and instructional tool development skills in the areas of information and cyber security.”

Ms. Lori Krist, Business and Social Sciences, Woodbridge Campus, Nothern Virginia Community College, noted the high quality of the Capitol College faculty who teach the class modules:
“The program was done very well. [Professor] Charlie [Cayot] was the best, his delivery style is great. But ALL instructors were knowledgeable and helpful. I know attending the review made the difference for me in passing the exam.”

Mr. Eddie Garren, National White Collar Crime Center, reported that the class provided him with a comprehensive preparation for the CISSP exam:
“I was in the review course at Capitol College from January 13, 2007 through February 10, 2007, then taking the CISSP exam on February 24, 2007 and passing it. I read the Official CISSP book the week prior to the exam but other than the review and reading I did very little to prepare for the test. So I would like to say thank you for the course.”
