The Critical Infrastructures and Cyber Protection Center offers certification exam preparation classes for the following:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• Security+
• SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

These classes provide the certifications required under the DoD 8570 directive and offer a solid exam review strategy for the IA professional in government and industry.

Experienced Faculty

All certification classes are taught by highly-qualified practitioners, many of whom are certified and/or have advanced degrees in information technology or information assurance fields.

Interative Live Online Classes

Sessions are taught synchronously (live) to enable students to hear the lectures while viewing the PowerPoint presentations. Attendees interact with each other and hear comments and questions from the lecturer and classmates. The classes are recorded as they are taught, allowing students the opportunity to replay sessions later to enhance mastery of the courseware. To reinforce the online learning, strudents can access the recorded presentations for six months after completing the program in preparation for a certification examination.

Practice Tests

To further reinforce the learning process, program attendees take practice micro examinations on each of the domains as they move through the preparation program. This feature is unique to Capitol College. Our goal is to maximize the passing rate on the exam!

A Guarantee

Attendees who successfully complete a certification preparation class, but have difficulty with the examination, can do a one-time retake of the class at no additional cost (except the textbook should it change).

A certificate of completion is awarded to students who successfully complete a class. Capitol College does not pay for the certification exams. Arrangements to take an exam must be made by the individual or sponsoring organization directly with CompTIA or (ISC)2.
