Capitol College is a NSA and DHS National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education. The SSCP Certification Preparation Program is uniquely crafted by expert credentialed security professionals for security professionals to enable them to understand current security issues and concepts, practices and trends as preparation for the SSCP examination.
Obtaining the System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) certification qualifies the individual at levels 1 and 2 of the Information Assurance Technical (IAT) category established by DoD Directive 8570.
The program costs $1,800 per person. The academic and government rate for groups of 12 or more is $1,600 per person. For groups of more than 15 students, please contact CICPC for special rates. These amounts do not include the cost of the textbook or the cost of taking the exam. Arrangements to take the SSCP certification exam must be made with (ISC) 2.

The SSCP Certification Preparation is a synchronously taught, instructor-led online program that can be taken conveniently at home. Instructors are recognized SSCP-qualified practitioners in the information technology and information assurance fields in government and industry. Instructors will present online lectures and discussions using case studies and knowledge assessments throughout the program. Students can interact with the instructors and their fellow students through the real-time, live-audio delivery method. All classes are recorded to allow students to replay the presentations.

SSCP certification recognizes an individual's knowledge of the accepted practices, roles and responsibilities of information security.
