Education Partners

National Security Agency (NSA)

The NSA and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated Capitol College a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education, an honor granted to only 50 institutions throughout the country. Capitol helps NSA reduce vulnerabilities in the national information infrastructure by producing professionals with information assurance expertise in various disciplines.

Information Assurance Directorate (IAD)

Through partnerships with government, academia, and industry, NSA's Information Assurance mission advocates improvements in IA education, training, and awareness.

Maryland Space Grant Consortium
Capitol College has partnered with the Maryland Space Grant Consortium (MDSGC), which is part of NASA’s National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program, an organization that contributes to the nation's science enterprise by funding research, education, and public service projects through a national network of 52 university-based Space Grant consortia. Since its founding, Space Grant has awarded over 12,000 U.S. citizens with tuition assistance in science, engineering, and related fields of study.
 
National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)

In conjuction with NASA, Capitol College's Space Operations Institute (SOI) prepares students for careers in the space industry and space mission operations. Through internship and co-op opportunities, as well as hands-on experiences, students learn to control and track spacecraft. SOI students and faculty currently operate four NASA earth science satellites.

InfraGard

Capitol College is a sponsor of the Maryland InfraGard Chapter. The InfraGard program is an essential part of the FBI's Cyber Division's nationwide outreach effort. The program conducts outreach and information sharing with businesses, institutions, and community organizations that operate critical infrastructures. The InfraGard has established a mechanism for sharing information about intrusion incidents and system vulnerabilities and provided a channel for the FBI to disseminate analytical threat products to the private sector.

Committee on National Security Standards (CNSS)
The joint CNSS is one of the world's most prominent authorities in information assurance. The NSA and DHS have designated Capitol College as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education in all five CNSS domains, and at the advanced level where applicable.
 
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is a nonprofit, technical professional association that is a leading authority in computer engineering, telecommunications, and aerospace and consumer electronics, among other fields. As one of eight IEEE educational partners, Capitol offers discounts on selected graduate programs to all full IEEE members.
 
Friendship Academy of Engineering and Technology

FAET is designed to prepare students for careers in engineering, networking, software development and architectural design. The curriculum includes Project Lead the Way a pre-engineering program; a national program that prepares students for careers in engineering and biomedical sciences. FAET seeks to unify rigourous academic standards with relevant life and career skills with a student centered project-based focus.

Friendship Academy of Math, Science, and Technology

FAST is designed to prepare students for careers in Environmental Science, Biosciences and Medical Sciences. FAST is partnered with Project Lead the Way, implementing a Biomedical Science curriculum. FAST seeks to unify rigourous academic standards with relevant life and career skills with a student centered project-based focus.
