Jump Start Juniors Expo

FRIDAY, May 3rd On Capitol College’s Laurel Campus!

For the last 10 years in the spring, Capitol College has brought over 400 top high school juniors from all over the region to campus to participate in an active showcase of academic and career pathways in the fields of computer science, technology, engineering and math. Private companies, nonprofits, government offices or educational outreach representatives will be taking this opportunity to stimulate young minds by turning them on to the advancements and opportunities that exist in the current technology, engineering and computer science industries.

By joining us, you will expose your students to the scholarships, college majors, career fields and potential job opportunities that lay ahead for them as STEM students! By bringing them face-to-face with current college students, professors and industry professionals, we connect students with the global possibilities that lay ahead!

  • There will be a presentation on the college search and application process.
  • Interactive STEM related workshops.
  • A career EXPO (featuring organizations such as, NSA, Lockheed Martin, Microsoft and NASA)!
  • The famous Jump Start Junior Cookout with our students, staff, professors and sponsors with music and prizes!
  • Even runs from 9am-1pm.
  • Busses will be paid for by Capitol College.
  • Open to high school juniors interested in STEM fields.
  • There is limited space so early registration is STRONGLY encouraged.

This is the largest high school STEM event in the east, growing bigger and better every year! This is one that you cannot afford to miss!

Jump Start Juniors 2012 was held on Friday, March 23. More than 300 Maryland high school students came to campus to learn more about STEM education. »View Photos
