Cooperative education is the best method to start a rewarding career. Apply classroom theory while receiving a salary or work part-time in a position that directly relates to your major. Co-op opportunities can be formal employment programs with various companies throughout the area or general full- or part-time work in your field of study. Students can work either full- or part-time while taking classes. Employers are often flexible and will work around classes. Salaries for co-op jobs range from $12 per hour to more than $15 per hour. Internships and co-ops also introduce students to the working world and the experience with differing corporate cultures. Plus, learning on the job helps to finance a college education and helps you clarify your career goals. All co-ops, internships and related positions are posted to the Online Career Center.
