Career Day

Every year, Capitol presents a Career Day to students, giving them time off from the daily grind to prepare themselves for their lives after college. This event is an annual, mandatory event for all new and returning full-time students to qualify for the Capitol College Commitment, the college's job guarantee.

All classes are cancelled on the day of the event, when students attend presentations and workshops designed for their specific year; keynote speakers from respected organizations and etiquette training luncheon are often highlights. Although Career Day is geared towards full-time students, part-time students, graduate students and alumni are also welcome to attend. This opportunity to network and form new relationships is also extended to local businesses.

Career Day was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010. The keynote speaker was Rick Maltz, President of The Maltz Group. He discussed his professional experiences and what led him down the career path he chose. Other topics, included internships, resumes, interview tips, professional dress and the federal job search. To view pictures from last year's Career Day events, visit the college's official Facebook page.
