If you do not have a current resume, make an appointment with Career Services to get started. Staff will work closely with you to evaluate your academic performance and previous experience. After this initial consultation, you will have an outline of a resume. You can then compose a draft resume and continue making revisions until a final resume is complete. Both OptimalResumeTM and the Online Career Center are excellent resources to help you with this process.
Career Services staff can help you to prepare for job interviews by providing you with possible interview questions, suggesting materials to bring and offering you other tips for a successful interview experience. Contact Career Services to set up an appointment.
Career Services offers free services to employers who want to recruit our students. Register your company at the Online Career Center to give us information regarding an opening and post positions. You can also email, fax or call Career Services to notify us of your opening. Include a detailed description of your company and the position - including location and requirements - and how you would prefer applicants submit their resumes.
Job descriptions will be posted in the Online Career Center for at least 30 days, during which students and alumni can independently apply for the position. We also try to match the job description with the resumes we have on file. A company representative can also choose to receive information about ongoing recruiting opportunities at Capitol College, such as technical seminars, Career Fair and Career Day.
