Matt Wyandt is the Director of Dissertations at Capitol Technology University. With 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, he became highly specialized in Petroleum Engineering, Anti-Terrorism Security, Intelligence, Cryptography, and Weapons Instruction. Mr. Wyandt attended two Military Organizational Leadership academies and several other military-related schools. He was on a response team for the 1998 U.S. Embassy bombings in Tanzania, Africa, and was part of the Iraq ground war in 2003. He was in several follow-up combat tours to Iraq in 2008 and Afghanistan in 2010. He is married with four children ranging from 6 to 30 years old with one in the U.S. Air Force. As Director of Dissertations at Capitol, Mr. Wyandt assists with assigning chair roles, their training and professional development, and aids in the defense process during the final stages of our students’ doctoral program. 

Mr. Wyandt’s fields of interest include Emergency and Protective Services, Intelligence and Global Security, and Military Leadership and Counterterrorism, and his expertise extends to organizational management, communication, instruction, advising, and mentoring. 

When he is not teaching, he is running his self-owned coffee shops.  

An inspirational quote he follows is, “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail” - Benjamin Franklin. 

Some advice that he offers to his students is: You’re never too old to learn new things, learning is continuous.
