As it grows, the Institute for Innovation and Leadership will:
Design cross-disciplinary curricula for undergraduate and graduate students who want to acquire the skills and knowledge to become successful entrepreneurs.
Develop non-credit professional development programs in entrepreneurship and technology management.
Invite innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders to participate in the Institute’s programs as Leaders-in-Residence.
Plan seminars, conferences and symposia on innovation and leadership topics.
Establish endowed chairs for faculty who will work together on curricula, internships, professional services and related activities.
Initiate a Fellows program for researchers in the leadership field.
Build a publishing program to disseminate best practices, research findings, and successful leadership stories and principles.
Develop programs for minorities and women, two groups that continue to be under-represented in both technology and business leadership.
Deliver outreach programs to high school and community college audiences to increase interest in engineering, technology and business leadership careers.
