Capitol Technology University Partners with Percival Engineering for Education in Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure

Capitol Technology University is pleased to announce a new partnership with Percival Engineering, thus forming a strategic alliance to promote and provide opportunities for education and careers in cybersecurity and the protection of U.S. Critical Infrastructure.

On Friday, February 17, 2023, Dr. Bradford Sims, President of Capitol Tech and Ms. Merri McNamara, Vice President of Percival, Inc., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to initiate this exciting collaboration in providing shared resources for the creation of educational pathways and career opportunities in these important areas of STEM.

Located in Laurel, MD, Capitol Tech has a long-standing history of education in STEM and developing award-winning cybersecurity programs as recognized by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Defense (DoD). Cybersecurity is a critical element to most industries seeking protection of their essential assets. Education in this area proves to be a lucrative path for those exploring careers in the cyber and critical infrastructure fields. Cybersecurity and critical infrastructure are closely linked, as in our technology-reliant world, more critical systems are hosted on the cloud and subject to cybercrime. It is important to develop a workforce prepared for not only the current, but also the future demands of the industry, and Capitol Tech shares the vision of Percival Engineering to create these skilled leaders.

In addition to offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs in Cyber & Information Security and Critical Infrastructure, such as Cyber Analytics, Cyber Leadership, Facilities Management, and Construction Management, Capitol Tech recently launched a new Master of Philosophy in Cyber Engineering to meet the industry need for more infosec and cybersecurity professionals in the workforce.

Located in Columbia, MD, Percival Engineering is a leader of the cyber industry and at the forefront of innovation in the complete cybersecurity and cyber engineering cycle of vulnerability research, reverse engineering, system emulation, prototyping cyber capabilities, and providing security solutions to defeat vulnerabilities. They also have extensive expertise in protecting critical infrastructure including operational technologies (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), mission-critical systems, and embedded systems. Percival Engineering was founded in military service, and believes that building a culture of passion, dedication, and drive to deliver results ensures client satisfaction and strong partnerships with other leading companies and institutions to promote cyber awareness and the development of strong future leaders.
