Speaker Announced for 2011 Honors Convocation
March 10, 2011
Capitol College is pleased to announce that Nolan Clifford, CEO of Information Security Solutions LLC, will be speaking at the annual Honors Convocation on Thursday, March 24, at 3 p.m. in the Avrum Gudelsky Memorial Auditorium. During his address, Clifford will speak to Capitol students, family members, faculty, staff and alumni about his experience and knowledge of entrepreneurship throughout his professional career.
Before his current position, Clifford held the title of Principal at Deloitte & Touche LLP. Clifford has also worked as a director of information assurance at General Dynamics Network Systems, director of information assurance at Unisys Corporation, and as cryptology officer for the U.S. Navy.
Honors Convocation is a chance to celebrate the hard work and academic achievements of Capitol’s students during the past year. Friends and family members who would like to share in the recognition of Capitol’s scholars are encouraged to attend.
“Each year the college pauses to recognize scholarship. The Honors Convocation is one of those special moments,” Dr. Vic Maconachy, vice president for academic affairs, said. “We have an exceptional student body here at Capitol and this is just one way we recognize their achievements.”
During the event, the following students will all be recognized for their achievements: scholarship recipients for the 2010-2011 academic year, dean’s list members for 2010, honor society inductees, and SOI award recipients.
If you would like to attend this event, please RSVP to Joy Exner at 301-369-2800 ext. 3023, by Monday, March 21. After the convocation, there will be light refreshments provided in the Campus Center at 4 p.m.
