Students can sample a variety foods Feb. 8 following a free cooking demonstration in the Campus Center by a renowned Baltimore chef.
Chef Marcus Myles will be on campus for his demonstration and discussion beginning at 8 p.m. His appearance is sponsored by the Student Leadership Advisory Board.
To tie the event to Black History Month, Myles will talk about soul food while preparing it for the students. They’ll then get to try out the food.
“We thought it would be great to bring a chef to campus. It’s something fun and different,” said Alexis Moore, S-LAB member.
The event is free and open to all students.
Myles, an award-winning chef, has spent 18 years honing his culinary expertise at some of Baltimore's best restaurants, including Due', Sotto Sopra, Oregon Grille and Chestnut Ridge Country Club.
