Winners of the Capitol College 2007 Poetry Contest were announced at a poetry reading on April 11. The winners are

• first place: Bruce Fields, "Analysis for a New Generation"
• second place: Melody Ford, "Torn/Rebirth"
• third place: John Ryan, "Happiness"

The contest was sponsored by the John G. and Beverly A. Puente Library to celebrate National Poetry Month in April.
