Capitol College and Baltimore City Community College (BCCC) have signed a series of agreements that simplify the transfer process for graduates of the community college who enroll in certain bachelor’s degree programs at Capitol.
“These agreements will encourage and assist more students from Baltimore City to pursue their higher education goals,” said Michael T. Wood, president of Capitol College.
The articulation agreements apply to students who enroll in business administration, computer science, computer engineering technology, electrical engineering, electronics engineering technology and telecommunications engineering technology at Capitol.
Students who have earned associate degrees in corresponding academic fields at BCCC are automatically admitted to Capitol College to continue their studies in a bachelor’s degree program. Those who have earned GPAs of 3.0 or higher are eligible for Capitol College scholarships ranging from $4,000 to $10,000.
The agreements, which are effective for students enrolling at Capitol College for the Fall 2007 semester, specify which BCCC courses are transferable to Capitol’s degree programs.
“This is the first official link between our institutions, and we look forward to a long partnership with the administration and faculty of BCCC,” Wood said.
