Capitol College Names Newest Board Member, Michael Plass

LAUREL, MD (November 9, 2011) – Capitol College has announced the newest member of the Board of Trustees, Michael Plass. Plass currently holds the title of MSSI Vice President and Director of Systems Integration at Motorola.

“We are most pleased to have Mike Plass join our board,” Dr. Michael T. Wood, president, said. “He has been a loyal supporter of the college and speaker at our events. Mr. Plass brings not only his service as an alumnus, but his expertise as a leader on the forefront of telecommunications technology and corporate management with the Motorola Corporation.”

A graduate of the class of 1987, Plass earned his bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering technology from Capitol College and also holds an MBA from Loyola University. He began his career as a systems engineer at Motorola Solutions.

In addition to speaking at several campus events, Plass is also a member of the Leadership Advisory Council. The council was designed to advise the Innovation and Leadership Institute on best practices for developing leadership education through extra-curricular events, such as workshops and lectures.

“I am excited to have been nominated to serve on Capitol College’s Board of Trustees,” Plass said. “I am looking forward to bringing my experience and history with Capitol, and my corporate experience together to serve an already very strong Board of Trustees.”

By becoming a member of the Board of Trustees, Plass will continue the strong tradition of leadership at Capitol College. His broad corporate network will also extend Capitol’s reach within the local community.
