Capitol College Career Fair Welcomes
Those Interested in Career Opportunities

LAUREL, MD (March 15, 2012) – Capitol College will hold its annual career fair on Friday, March 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the McGowan Academic Center. The event is open to the public and is a great networking opportunity for those looking for a new career.

Those in attendance will have the opportunity to meet employers recruiting for full-time positions at organizations including: ADNET Systems, ASRC Research & Technology, Defense Information Systems Agency, Eaton, LJT & Associates, MET Laboratories, Patton Electronics, Phoenix International Holdings, One Stop Career Center, Serco, Sidus Data, Space Telescope Science Institute, The SI Organization and the US Air Force.

“This is an excellent opportunity to network with potential employers, some of whom are Capitol College alumni,” said Rosana Lemus, coordinator of career services and graduate student support. “In addition, we are excited that several of our alumni will lead workshops throughout the day. We anticipate the experience will be a positive one for all participants, regardless of their current stage in the career process.”

During the career fair, representatives from Patton Electronics and Motorola will offer a resume review workshop, while a mock interview session will allow attendees to practice their interview skills. Additional workshops, titled “Keys to a Successful Job Search,” “Security Clearance Overview,” and “The Internet Job Search and Researching Employers” will be led by Capitol College faculty and staff members. Lastly, a post-event workshop will take place on April 5 at 6 p.m. titled “Strategies for Successful Salary Negotiations.” Appointments are required for the resume review, mock interview session and post-event workshop.

For more information or to register for the career fair, email Rosana Lemus or reach her at 301-369-2800 ext. 3069.
