Turn Technology into Profit

The world needs innovators and designers to move technology forward. And to best sell that technology to the world, companies and agencies need leaders who know how that technology fits into the ever-evolving business world.

If you want to be that business leader -- maybe even a consultant or entrepreneur -- the bachelor of science in business administration from Capitol College is the ideal degree for you. With a degree that uniquely blends business and technology, you'll be in high demand no matter where your start your career.

"Everything is somehow tied into technology. The degree really is broad enough for any industry," says Natasha Dalley, a senior from New York City who is studying business administration. "But it gives you an edge because the technical aspects make you able to quickly adapt to a lot of workplaces."

The BSBA curriculum exposes you to ideas and themes of a standard business degree – coursework such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, human resources and business communication. You'll learn what's needed for the fast-paced and competitive careers and be well prepared for a coveted master of business administration degree.

But to stand out among the rest, you'll complete courses in telecommunications and information technology – courses that will help you better understand the technical demands of nearly every industry. And like all of Capitol's degrees, you'll benefit by working and learning from professors who are experts in their field. You'll learn not just the theories and concepts, but how they apply to the real world you'll be ready to enter and lead.

"I'd really like to go into human resources, and working at an engineering or software company would be great," says Dalley, who is also working toward a certificate in personnel management. "Because of my computer science and telecommunications courses, I can speak the language and understand the type of work."
