Online Programs

Capitol College created its online programs to make it possible for busy professionals to earn master’s degrees, doctorates, or technology-related certificates via live sessions. Capitol College’s online graduate engineering programs earned high rankings in the U.S. News and World Report.

All of Capitol’s master’s degree programs are offered entirely online, with courses given on weekday evenings and Saturdays. The doctorate program is predominantly online with a few weekend residencies. Courses blend synchronous (real-time), professor-led events with asynchronous learning sessions in which students access and study course material at their convenience. Most live classes are conducted in the evenings, Eastern Standard Time, but a few are offered later for Pacific Coast time. In addition, the live classes are recorded and available for later replay. Students communicate with the instructor and classmates via email and discussion boards. Classes are small, averaging 20 each, so students get a great deal of personal attention.

The college also offers a variety of online classes for undergraduates. For instance, students pursuing a BS degree in business administration, information assurance or management of information technology have the option of completing their last two years entirely online.

The Critical Infrastructures and Cyber Protection Center offers a variety of professional development courses online in real-time format.
