Director's Welcome
Welcome to the Critical Infrastructures and Cyber Protection Center at Capitol College. The CICPC was established to address the technical and managerial needs of the nation's professional workforce in the areas of critical infrastructure protection and homeland security. A wide array of specialty courses offers training and professional development opportunities to those in and seeking to join the workforce. The current catalog of courses is expanding to include certificate bearing programs in information assurance, cyber intelligence and cyber counter intelligence, critical infrastructures protection, homeland security and defense, and cyber forensics. Participants earn continuing professional education units (CPEs) along with a certificate or document of completion reflecting their participation. The CICPC program inventory also includes a suite of offerings that satisfy requirements of Department of Defense Directive 8570.1.
CICPC programs are delivered online through real-time classes recorded for later playback, enabling program participants the ability to review the course material as their schedule permits. Customized programs can be arranged and delivered on-site or online, including delivery in alternative time zones. CICPC program offerings include:
- Industry certification preparation
- FISMA
- National information assurance training standards
- Cyber intelligence
- Homeland security
- Identity, Credentials & Access Management
All CICPC programs are taught by subject matter experts from government and industry, many of whom also serve as faculty in the master of science program in information assurance.
