You are a transfer applicant if you have enrolled in a college or university after receiving a high school diploma and have earned 15 credits or more.
However, if you have earned less than 15 credits, you are considered a first-time freshman and the procedure is slightly different.
At Capitol College we make it easy for you, whether you're transferring 15 credits or 50 credits. And in addition to accepting transfer credits from other colleges, Capitol also can give credit for some non-college educational and life experiences, such as military courses and work experience. Step 3: Visit the campus.
Come see firsthand our state-of-the-art UNIX and Windows computer labs, high-tech electronic labs and multimedia classrooms. We welcome visits anytime, but we also offer special visiting days. RSVP to one of our open houses or request a campus tour.
Step 4: Explore financial aid.
Capitol College offers scholarships, private and institutional grants, private and federal loan options, federal and Capitol work-study programs, and veteran's benefits. We'll help you to find the best path to financial aid that works for you.

Step 5: You can expect a decision within two weeks of submitting your completed application packet.
You can apply - and get accepted - any time before fall registration in late August or early September or spring registration in January. (Please note that we encourage students to submit applications well before these registration periods, and to pay attention to financial aid priority dates.)
