…the Capitol Tech Charger! No one knows when or why he left, but we’re surely glad our official mascot is back! The Charger, our mysterious yet fearsome and noble-steed, returned to lead Capitol Tech’s charge toward the future.

On August 20, Capitol Technology University and the National Defense University (NDU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to renew an existing MOU between the two distinguished STEM focused institutions. A virtual signing ceremony was held via Zoom on August 20th between leaders from Capitol Tech and NDU. Click here to view the ceremony.

On Monday, August 17, 2020, Capitol Technology University and the University of Liberia (UL), located in Monrovia, Liberia, met online in Zoom to conduct a virtual signing ceremony for a new International Partners in Education Framework Agreement. The Agreement was signed to promote partnerships; grant end-of-course certificates and degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; and facilitate and enhance academic, administrative, and research cooperation between the two universities. 

National CyberWatch Center, “a consortium of higher education institutions, businesses, and government agencies focused on collaborative efforts to advance Information Security education and strengthen the national cybersecurity workforce,” recognized Capitol Technology University’s Security Operations Center (SOC) in National CyberWatch Center’s 2020 Innovations in Cybersecurity Education publication

The Women in CyberSecurity Critical Infrastructure Community (WiCyS CIC) is thrilled to have hosted their inaugural event last night and have about 100 in attendance and over 250 women connect to the new community.

Capitol Technology University was named one of the 2020 Best of the Best Top Veteran-Friendly Companies, Top Supplier Diversity Programs, Top Government & Law Enforcement Agencies, and Top Veteran-Friendly Schools by U.S. Veterans Magazine (USVM).

Capitol Technology University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Columbia Southern University (CSU) to increase access to high-quality, in-demand education to ambitious students. This MOU allows graduates of CSU’s Master’s in Occupational Safety and Health degree direct admission into Capitol Tech’s PhD in Health and Safety program. Credits earned by students through CSU’s M.A. degree will transfer toward Capitol Tech’s fully online, research-based PhD.

The newly launched, Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) Critical Infrastructure Community (CIC), will host its first event, “Cocktails & Conversation” on August 19. The event will allow participants to join this bustling community at the ground-floor.

Recognizing the essential nature of CyberSecurity in critical infrastructure, Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) announces the creation of our first industry community, the WiCyS Critical Infrastructure Community.
